i dont know if anyone out there has this movie but i think it is the most funniest movie i have seen in a long time!! I laughed so hard at this movie!!! Ny daughter(Jasmine) told me she wanted to see it and i thought the movie was going to be cheesy and stupid but it turned out to be one of best movies that i have seen in awhile!!

When i was changing my profile picture, i noticed that i have been blogging for 2 years!!I think that is exciting!!

FINALLY!!!! My computer is finally working!! My computer has been giving me problems since November 08!! It was driving me insane!! I am hoping that it will continue to work so i dont have to spend anymore money on it! It was costing me alot!!

So, how was everyone holidays? My went great!! Aidan started to roll over on Christmas Eve. It was so cute!! He was laying on his back and then all of a sudden he rolled over. I rolled him over again and said "Roll over" and he did it like 3 times in a row!! I am going to download my pictures but my batteries are dead(figures).

I know its been awhile since i last posted. My computer crashed and i had to get it fixed. The harddrive went so i had it replaced. I got a pretty good deal which was nice. So now i am back to blogging!

So, first off i will talk about Aidan's 2 month immunization shots. He didn't do to well. He had to have 4 shots at one time. The first shot he didnt do anything, but that was a whole different story after the 2nd, third and fourth shot. He cried so hard i felt really bad for him. I was thinking if maybe the nurse hurt him a little while doing the shots. I dont remember the other kids crying that hard. After that the day was the worst. I couldnt move him without him crying, so i phoned his Granny and asked her to bring some baby tyenol, after that he was fine, but i felt so bad for him the whole day!

On another note, my Thanksgiving was awesome. I got to meet Jack and see Abby again! Jack is so adorable and Abbey is adorable too! It was nice to see everyone again! On Saturday night the kids went swimming for a couple of hours. On Sunday my dad took everyone mushroom picking and then went to the park. Then we had our Turkey dinner, it was awesome. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots, brussel sprouts, and homemade buns. Aidan was at the dinner table watching me ate so i gave him some very small pieces of turkey with a little bit of gravy on it and he loved it. While we were eating Abbey was falling asleep at the dinner table so i had to get Jody(older siser) and she put Abbey to bed. Abbey was soo tired that she slept from 6pm to 8am the next morning. Talk about one exhausted little girl!

All in all it was a terrific weekend! What did you do?

Not much going on here. Tomorrow Aidan has his 2 month immunization shots. I feel bad that he needs them but i know its for his own good and its to keep him healthy.

So, next week is Thanksgiving weekend, im getting exicted cause i get to meet my nephew and seen Abby. I havent met Jack(nephew) yet. I will be taking alot of(hopefully) pictures of Aidan and Jack together. I cant wait!!!

Took Aidan to the doctor on Friday for his 2 month checkup. He now weighs 11Lbs 90z and is 23 inches long. When i was the doctor's, the doctor started to talk to me about cow's milk and honey and i told her the stuff about why babies cant have cow's milk and honey. I told her that the reason why babies cant have cow's milk is because the babies stomach cant digest the protein and sugar in the milk and that a babies stomach can bleed. And the reason why they cant have honey is because there is a risk of botulism. The doctor was so impressed about my knowledge of this stuff and she said that she didnt know anybody that had my knowledge that i have. Anyways it made me feel so smart!

Well all three of my kids are in school full time. So its just me and Aidan at home during the day. I must admit that i kindof like the quietness but i still miss the kids.

Aidan is doing good. He is such a good baby still. We have had a couple of times where is cried for about 10-15 minutes but other than that he is good.

Well since Aidan is sleeping I decided to write a post about him. He is such a wonderful baby right now. He is sleeping great during the day and night. He is usually awake at 5am but it doesnt really bother me. He doesnt cry at all, all he is does is moves around and make noises, so when i hear him i go and pick up. I cant wait until i can see his first smile.

That is the day that my little guy was born! The labour was kind of fast for me. I woke up in the middle of the night with cramping but i was able to sleep. The real contractions started mid-morning until 4:10pm, then my water broke. I needed my son to call for a ride to the hospital. When we pulled up to the Hospitl my water broke, i needed a wheelchair at that point and i said to the guy " hurry up and get me to the maternity floor I have the urge to push" and i was right as soon as i was on the bed i started to push and my son was born at 5:04pm. So, i will sum up my labour and delivery in one word "Fast".

His name is Aidan Brody

Sorry for the lack of posts!! Just not into blogging these days and nothing to really talk about!!well except for a couple of things!!

On Thursday Candace's Kindergarden class had the firetruck and a couple of firemen came to her class to talk about fire safety! Which was exciting!! I was able to take some pictures but i dont have any batteries to upload the pictures!! I willl defintely get some batteries on Wednesday!! So stay tuned for those pictures!!

I also have a new little cousin!! Her name is Ellana!! She is so cute!! So congrats to Lisa!!!

Hello to all the blogger readers out there!! I didnt realize that it has been so long since i last posted!! Hopefully i didnt lose any readers!!

What is going on in my life? Nothing really, except trying to get ready for the little one to arrive! I have been buying sleepers, and baby towels and little stuff like that!! It is so hard to buy clothes when you dont know the sex of the baby!! I set up the crib a couple of weeks ago and i realized that it turns out that the crib truns into a day bed! i am so excited that it turns out to be a day bed!

Oh, my sister had a baby boy yesterday!!! I am so excited that i have a little nephew!! He weighed 7lbs 7oz, s more ounces than Candace weighed!!

Sorry for the long delay in posting. I just havent had anything to talk about! The doctors appointment went well. My new due date is July 29th not July 22nd! The doctor said that the baby is happy and healthy, so that is good news!

Today while shopping at Wal-Mart i picked up a crib for $30 regular $127! So that is one big thing off the baby list to buy! I already have the change table, mattress, changing pad and i bought 3 outfits for the baby. So i am slowly getting ready for the baby! One thing that i defintely want to do is to move into a bigger place! This trailer is too small and i am getting tired of living in a trailer!!

I will post pictures of my baby stuff later, dont have any batteries of my camera!!

i have received questions about the ultrasound!

I havent found out what the sex of the baby is the techinican wouldnt tell me, he said he wasnt allowed to comment on my question, he also said that if the doctor can figure it out then the doctor can tell me. To be honest, i dont want to know, i would rather wait to find out. I like surprises! BUT if the doctor CAN tell me i would love to know, but we will see. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday, so i wont know anything til then. So stay tuned!!

Ultrasound!

So i had my ultrasound yesterday. Things are good, the techinican said the baby looks healthy! It turns out im 17weeks not 19 weeks! I have been feeling tiny movements every now and again so im glad about that.

While we were doing the ultrasound the baby was turning, fliping and kicking around. So it sounds like the baby is doing good. I was kinda worried about that, but i think all pregnant mothers worry about that. I ordered a picture of the ultrasound, since the printer wasnt working at the hospital. I will probably get the picture in a couple of days!

I found out that my sister is having a boy!! SO cool!! my sister is due around mother's day. So our babies will be a couple months apart!! So cool!!

Yesterday i had a complete appointment at the doctors. I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time!! YAY!!! I was so excited!!! When we were listening to the baby, the doctor informed that the sound that we heard was the baby kicking! So excitng!!! Another thing that i thought was funny was when we were talking about the ultrasound she said "if you see something waving in the wind, its a boy, but if see nothing its a girl". So i will try to look and see if i see anything, but i will also ask the techinican who is doing the u/s. I i recongize the person from last time i wont even ask, cause i know what he will say!! So stay turned for the 25th of this month!! I cant wait!!!

Well, i decided to talk a little about my pregnancy! Things are finally going good! The morning sickness i had is gone, but certain smells still make me gag but i havent hurled in a couple of weeks now so i am so relieved about that! Still get tired easily, but i think that is expected since i have 3 kids to look after! Jasmine has been a great help with cooking and stuff!! I have a complete appointment on Tuesday the 29th, and my ultrasound is booked for the 25th of February. I think i will be taking Candace to that appointment since my appointment is at 12:30p.m and i wont have time to go to the school and pick her up! So stayed tuned!!

So on Saturday was my birthday! I took the kids to the complex because my younger sister and brother were playing hockey!!The game ended up a tie game! So, it was a pretty good game considering that the other was up by 2 points!
The score ended up being 6-6!

Then after the hockey game we went out for lunch at Moose & Eddies! My sister & I had a bacon & cheese burger, Justin had the same, Jasmine had Chicken strips and fries, and Susan had a mediterran salad and Trevor had a Ceasar Salad! After lunch Susan took me to Walmart and got me some clothes, which i so needed! SO all in all it was a pretty good birthday!

There is only one thing new around here!! I bought a printer for my computer!! When we got the computer it didnt come with one! So on Friday, Jan 4 i went out and bought one! The printer is a Hp c-3100! It scans, copys and prints. It is so cool!! I used the money that my dad and Grandpa sent me and it was not that expensive! So now i have the printer and now the kids have no excuse not to get their homework done! and of course i love it!

Your baby continues to grow and is now approximately the size of a large lime! The crown-to-rump length of your developing child is 1.75 to 2.4 inches. The weight of the fetus is approximately 8 grams at this point. The growth of your baby is phenomenal now and your baby's length will double in the next three weeks. The head is grossly out of proportion and is almost half of the baby's length.

You are almost at the end of your first trimester and while changes continue to occur quickly in your baby, they are happening at a slower rate in you. Your uterus has been growing with the fetus inside of it and is now almost big enough to fill your pelvis. Your uterus may be able to be felt in your lower abdomen, above the middle of your pubic bone. You are not able to feel the baby moving inside of you at this time. Some women think that they have felt their baby moving now, but it is either gas or a wrongly dated pregnancy. You might also be noticing changes in your hair, fingernails, or skin around this time. Some women notice an increase in hair growth and nail growth during pregnancy and others lose small amounts of hair. You are burning up calories at a faster rate than you did before you became pregnant! The amount of blood being pumped around your body will increase and you might feel warmer than usual.

Well i am 11 weeks tomorrow and i am starting to feel a little bit better. These past few weeks have brought nauseous and tiredness. With the nauseous i could hardly keep food down but now i am starting to feel a litte bit better. I still feel like i want to throw up but not recently(today) I am hoping that my symptons with go away. I dont like feeling this way!

In September 1960, I woke up one morning with six hungry babies and just 75 cents in my pocket.

Their father was gone.

The boys ranged from three months to seven years; their sister was two.

Their Dad had never been much more than a presence they feared.

Whenever they heard his tires crunch on the gravel driveway they would scramble to hide under their beds.

He did manage to leave $15 a week to buy groceries.

Now that he had decided to leave, there would be no more beatings, but no food either.

If there was a welfare system in effect in southern Indiana at that time, I certainly knew nothing about it.

I scrubbed the kids until they looked brand new and then put on my best homemade dress, loaded them into the rusty old 51 Chevy and drove off to find a job.

The seven of us went to every factory, store and restaurant in our small town.

No luck.

The kids stayed crammed into the car and tried to be quiet while I tried to convince who ever would listen that I was willing to learn or do anything. I had to have a job.

Still no luck. The last place we went to, just a few miles out of town, was an old Root Beer Barrel drive -in t hat had been converted to a truck stop.

It was called the Big Wheel.

An old lady named Granny owned the place and she peeked out of the window from time to time at all those kids.

She needed someone on the graveyard shift, 11 at night until seven in the morning.

She paid 65 cents an hour, and I could start that night.

I raced home and called the teenager down the street that baby-sat for people.

I bargained with her to come and sleep on my sofa for a dollar a night.

She could arrive with her pajamas on and the kids would already be asleep

This seemed like a good arrangement to her, so we made a deal.

That night when the little ones and I knelt to say our prayers, we all thanked God for finding Mommy a job. And so I started at the Big Wheel.

When I got home in the mornings I woke the baby-sitter up and sent her home with one dollar of my tip money-- fully half of what I averaged every night.

As the weeks went by, heating bills added a strain to my meager wage.

The tires on the old Chevy had the consistency of penny balloons and began to leak. I had to fill them with air on the way to work and again every morning before I could go home.

One bleak fall morning, I dragged myself to the car to go home and found four tires in the back seat. New tires!

There was no note, no nothing, just those beautiful brand new tires.

Had angels taken up residence in Indiana ? I wondered.

I made a deal with the local service station.

In exchange for his mounting the new tires, I would clean up his office.

I remember it took me a lot longer to scrub his floor tha n it did for him to do the tires.

I was now working six nights instead of five and it still wasn't enough.

Christmas was coming and I knew there would be no money for toys for the kids.

I found a can of red paint and started repairing and painting some old toys. Then I hid them in the basement so there would be something for Santa to deliver on Christmas morning.

Clothes were a worry too. I was sewing patches on top of patches on the boys pants and soon they would be too far gone to repair.

On Christmas Eve the usual customers were drinking coffee in the Big Wheel. There were the truckers, Les , Frank, and Jim, and a state trooper named Joe.

A few musicians were hanging around after a gig at the Legion and were dropping nickels in the pinball machine.

The regulars all just sat around and talked through the wee hours of the morning and then left to get home before the sun came up.

When it was time for me to go home at seven o'clock on Christmas morning, to my amazement, my old battered Chevy was filled full to the top with boxes of all shapes and sizes.

I quickly opened the driver's side door, crawled inside and kneeled in the front facing the back seat.

Reaching back, I pulled off the lid of the top box.

Inside was whole case of little blue jeans, sizes 2-10!

I looked inside another box: It was full of shirts to go with the jeans.

Then I peeked inside some of the other boxes. There was candy and nuts and bananas and bags of groceries. There was an enormous ham for baking, and canned vegetables and potatoes.
There was pudding and Jell-O and cookies, pie filling and flour. There was whole bag of laundry supplies and cleaning items.

And there were five toy trucks and one beautiful little doll.

As I drove back through empty streets as the sun slowly rose on the most amazing Christmas Day of my life, I was sobbing with gratitude.

And I will never forget the joy on the faces of my little ones that precious morning.

Okay! I was going to tell the blogger world my news next week but i guess i will share now. On Friday Nov.20 i took a pregnancy and it was postive but the plus sign was really, really,really faint so on Monday i bought another pregnancy test and it looked like this and then i took another one yesterday and i had the same results. I have my first doctor's appointment on Tuesday the 4th!!! So, i will have more to update on Tuesday and another thing:

I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE!!!! I found from my Aunt that my sister is expecting her second child around May annnnnddddd my cousin is pregnant too. That means in one year there will be 3 new babies in my family. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

101 easy ideas for Christmas decor

Since there is 101 decorating ideas i am only going to do 10 a day!

1. Create a charming display of teddy bears dressed for the season. Gather together three or more teddy bears and arrange them on a table or on the floor in a corner. Dress the bears with touques, scarves and mittens. Place candy canes in their hands or tie bows around their necks. You can even wrap up some small, empty boxes with Christmas wrapping paper to place in the bears' hands.

2. Display a collection of nativity scenes from different cultures.

3. Make simple bows from Christmas print ribbon and pin them to your curtains.

4. Hang a collection of Christmas stockings on your mantle, a shelf or the wall (even if you don't stuff them). The more the merrier when it comes to nice christmas decorations.

5. Revisit your childhood. Cut snowflakes from white paper and hang them in all of your windows.

6. Buy a clear plastic shower curtain. Use a hot glue gun to attach Christmas decorations to the outside of the curtain. Don't use breakable ornaments - instead, try small wooden or plastic ornaments (remove any hooks), bows, garland, etc.

7. Use red and green 3-dimensional fabric paints to trace simple Christmas patterns (like stars, bells, Santas, stockings, etc.) on a white tablecloth.

8. Dress up your house plants - hang small Christmas ornaments on them.

9. Tie a red ribbon around a tall, slim drinking glass. Fill the glass with candy canes and display on a shelf or side table.

10. Purchase plain green or red place mats and attach Christmas ribbons, bows or small wooden ornaments with a hot glue gun.

Made these last year and they were my absolute fave cookie

Snowball Cookies
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
additional powdered sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fully mixed. Add flour with salt to creamed mixture, blend throughly. Add nuts and mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400F. Shape into 1-inch balls and bake 8-10 minutes. Do not brown. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.

We had a very powerful windy storm last night!! I dont know how high the wind gusts got up to but it was powerful to knock out our power and take some siding off the trailer!!
Here--> is what i saw when i opened up the door this morning. I was talking to some neighbors and another person had lost his siding and another neighbors roof had lifted!! All i can say WOW!!!

MASCOUTAH, Ill. - Two hugs equals two days of detention for 13-year-old Megan Coulter. The eighth-grader was punished for violating a school policy banning public displays of affection when she hugged two friends Friday.

"I feel it is crazy," said Megan, who was to serve her second detention Tuesday after classes at Mascoutah Middle School.

"I was just giving them a hug goodbye for the weekend," she said.

Megan's mother, Melissa Coulter, said the embraces weren't even real hugs — just an arm around the shoulder and slight squeeze.

"It's hilarious to the point of ridicule," Coulter said. "I'm still dumbfounded that she's having to do this."

District Superintendent Sam McGowen said that he thinks the penalty is fair and that administrators in the school east of St. Louis were following policy in the student handbook.

It states: "Displays of affection should not occur on the school campus at any time. It is in poor taste, reflects poor judgment, and brings discredit to the school and to the persons involved."

Coulter said she and her husband told their daughter to go ahead and serve her detentions because the only other option was a day of suspension for each skipped detention.

"We don't agree with it, but I certainly don't want her to get in more trouble," Coulter said.

The couple plan to attend the next school board meeting to ask board members to consider rewording the policy or be more specific in what is considered a display of affection.

"I'm just hoping the school board will open their eyes and just realize that maybe they shouldn't be punishing us for hugs," Megan said.

CHICAGO - Here's another reason to get the kids to bed early: More sleep may lower their risk of becoming obese. Researchers have found that every additional hour per night a third-grader spends sleeping reduces the child's chances of being obese in sixth grade by 40 percent.

The less sleep they got, the more likely the children were to be obese in sixth grade, no matter what the child's weight was in third grade, said Dr. Julie Lumeng of the University of Michigan, who led the research.

If there was a magic number for the third-graders, it was nine hours, 45 minutes of sleep. Sleeping more than that lowered the risk significantly.

The study gives parents one more reason to enforce bedtimes, restrict caffeine and yank the TV from the bedroom. The study appears in the November issue of the journal Pediatrics.

Lack of sleep plays havoc with two hormones that are the "yin and yang of appetite regulation," said endocrinologist Eve Van Cauter of the University of Chicago, who was not involved in the new study.

In experiments by Van Cauter and others, sleep-deprived adults produced more ghrelin, a hormone that promotes hunger, and less leptin, a hormone that signals fullness.

Another explanation: Tired kids are less likely to exercise and more likely to sit on the couch and eat cookies, Lumeng said.

Dr. Stephen Sheldon, director of sleep medicine at Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital, praised the study and called for more research. He said children's sleep may be disturbed by breathing problems — some caused by overweight, such as sleep apnea, and some caused by enlarged tonsils and adenoids.

"I'm not so sure we have enough information yet on cause and effect," said Sheldon, who was not involved in the study.

Researchers used data from an existing federal study and focused on 785 children with complete information on sleep, and height and weight in the third grade and sixth grade. The children lived in 10 U.S. cities.

Mothers were asked: "How much sleep does your child get each day (including naps)?" On average, the third-graders got about 9 1/2 hours sleep, but some slept as little as seven hours and others as much as 12 hours.

Of the children who slept 10 to 12 hours a day, about 12 percent were obese by sixth grade. Many more — 22 percent — were obese in sixth grade of those who slept less than nine hours a day.

The researchers took into account other risk factors for obesity, such as the children's body mass index in third grade, and still found the link between less sleep in third grade and obesity in sixth grade. They acknowledged that factors they did not account for, such as parents' weight or behavior, may have contributed to the risk.

Jodi Mindell of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Sleep Center noted there are plenty of other reasons for encouraging good sleep habits, such as success in school.

"I don't want parents to think, 'If I get her to sleep, she's not going to be overweight,'" Mindell said. "I think this is a small piece in the picture."

I have decided to join NaBloPoMo. In the month of November you have to blog every day so i decided to try it! First off that i would like to say is i have changed my blog template to a Christmas scene. Yesterday i started thinking about Christmas. Am i the only one who is thinking about Christmas? I told the kids last night to start a Christmas list. I would like to start my Christmas shopping this month! I am looking on the computer for some Christmas Ideas for gifts and party ideas! Halloween Party!!

The day started offf with me going to get Candace from school,and then after school i took Candace trick or treating at the mall for some candy. Then we came home and made Halloween cookies, I also made Candy Apples for the first time. The candy apples werent a big hit with the kids so i know not to make them next year. When Jasmine arrived home she had a guest with her so they decided to go trick or treating around the trailer park. After they got back the other kids started to show up so i made "mummies on a stick". The mummies on a stick was a big hit with the kids. When all the kids showed up, one of the girls suggested that they go trick or treating. So they headed out and i took Candace around the trailer park and i was shocked to see that there was no kids out. I usually see like 10 or 15 kids but not this year! When we arrived home one of Jasmine's friends showed up. When everyone came back they listende to music, played mummy wrap and then they went into Jasmines home and watched a little bit of "The Grudge", then they turned it off and told ghost stories.

We had an eventful night here last night and i think(hope) that the kids enjoyed themselves

Kindergarten Today!

When i went to pick up Candace today, the kids were playing in the playground and when i was walking up to the playground a little boy bonked his head(ouch). I made good timing to help out the teacher. I went to the office to get some ice and when i got back to the class, the teacher needed me to supervise the class. I have to tell you that it was quite fun, i have never done that before. I sat in front of the class and all the children were staring at me, so i read them "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, looking at me". I was so proud at that moment listening to the children reading that book. It was a fun experience and i am kinda hoping that i get another chance to supervise the class. Candace thought it was pretty exicting too!!

It is a wonder to watch the little ones as they tell how thankful they are for their family. It is a time to say the things we somehow over look many other times of the year. It is a wonderful time for sharing with those we love.
